New Jersey Notices and Posters
The following posters are mandatory for New Jersey employers so that employees have access to and information about applicable labor laws. These posters can be downloaded from the links below.
Department of Labor & Workforce Development Poster Requirements
All Employers
The following posters are required for all New Jersey employers:
Child labor law poster
Earned sick leave poster
Employee misclassification

Family leave insurance
Prohibited discrimination in employment
Reporting and recordkeeping poster: each employee must also be provided a written copy of this notice at the time of hiring. Click here for electronic and alternate posting methods.

Smoke-Free Air Act: signs must be placed in every public entrance to indoor public places and workplaces subject to no-smoking requirements. The notice must be clearly visible to the public, indicating that smoking is prohibited. Signs must also be posted in areas where smoking is permitted.

Whistleblower notice: Once each year, employers with 10 or more employees must distribute notice of this law to their employees. Please view the poster for further details.
Workers’ compensation notice
Available through insurance carrier.
Posters Based on employer size
Family Leave Act: required for government entities, and employers with 50 or more employees.
Gender equity: for employers with 50 or more employees. Employers must also provide employees a written copy of the notice and obtain a signed acknowledgement at certain times. Click here for more information.
Victim leave: for employers with 25 or more employees
Posters based on Specific Laws
The following posters are required for New Jersey employers that are subject to the laws or conditions specified below:
Apparel Registration Act: for employers that hire minors in light manufacturing and apparel occupations.
Child labor in farming poster: for farmers that employ underaged workers.
Food service occupations: for employers in the food service industry.

Mandatory Overtime Restrictions for Health Care Facilities: for licensed health care facilities and registered health care service firms.
Minimum wage rates for farm workers
Minor hour schedule: required for employers that employ underage workers in occupations other than agriculture, domestic service in private homes or newspaper carriers.
Prohibited discrimination in housing: for employers associated with property sales, rentals or leases.
Prohibited discrimination in public accommodations: required for employers that provide services to the public.
Right to know poster: required for all public sector employers.
